Plastic Wave Project
Our PURPOSE
We’re a grassroots non-profit which aims to shine light on environmental issues while creating meaningful connections to nature. Through community and collective action, we hope to inspire individuals to build a more sustainable and mindful future for our planet. We envision vibrant communities united by compassion and a deep connection to nature.
The Issue
Plastic pollutes the planet and its people.
About 70 years ago when the mass production of plastics first began, no one could’ve imagined the social and environmental impact it would have today. It started off as a cheap, durable material that revolutionized the production of goods. Now plastics are one of the most commonly used material globally; from the packaging on our foods to the fabrics in our clothes. Due to this, plastic pollution has become one of the most important environmental and social justice issues of our time.
