Our Mission

We’re a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the harmful impacts plastic pollution has on our oceans and communities in hopes of creating healthy, plastic-free waterways. Our goal is to empower folks to live sustainably on their own terms while fostering meaningful connections to the ocean.

The Issue

Plastic pollutes the planet and it’s people.

About 70 years ago when the mass production of plastics first began, no one could’ve imagined the social and environmental impact it would have today. It started off as a cheap, durable material that revolutionized the production of goods. Now plastics are one of the most commonly used material globally; from the packaging on our foods to the fabrics in our clothes. Due to this, plastic pollution has become one of the most important environmental and social justice issues of our time.
